If you are using this filter for lead reduction then the only way to monitor filter performance for lead reduction using inline filters is to have the water regularly tested. If the tests didn't indicate that you needed to change the filter sooner, then you can change the filter after 6 months of use. Please replace the 4.5 x 10 Inch Lead Reduction Carbon Block 5 Micron every 6 months, or 24,000 litres, whichever comes first.
