Can i use water from this water distiller in my Osmio Infinity Hydroxy Gas machine?
Question by: Susan Davis on 24 May 2021, 09:50
Yes, you can. You will need to remove the carbon filter from the nozzle to achieve 0 TDS.

Hello. When is this likely to be back in stock?
Thank you
Question by: Joanna PAJAK on 4 Aug 2021, 19:23
in about a week - we are awaiting stock to arrive

What are the typical tds measurements following filtration?
Question by: Thomas Richmond on 26 Apr 2022, 22:42
The results can be higher at first filtration due to carbon passing through from the carbon filter in the nozzle of the system. You can remove the carbon bag and gently soak it in water until the water is clear then reinstall it in the system before first use to minimise this and you may want to remove this if you are distilling the water for use with the Osmio Infinity. You will likely get around 0 - 2 TDS water from the system.

Hi there, I was wondering what the difference between the clarity gravity water system and the water distiller was ?
Do they both remove most of the flouride/chlorine/heavy metals from the water, just a different process ?
Thanks, Emily
Question by: Emily hughes on 12 May 2022, 18:56
Yes, both work to reduce contaminants from the water, the distiller removes more than the gravity fed filters as it is a different process of filtration between distilling and gravity fed systems. Please note that distilling will also remove minerals whereas the Coldstream CF163W filters do not.
Distilling produces contaminant free water by heating water, converting it to vapour, the steam is then captured in a stainless steel coil where it cools to form pure water.
The Coldstream CF163W filters which we use with our gravity system reduce many contaminants, though the removal percentage can change over the lifetime/usage of the filter.
Please see containment removal for the Coldstream filters on our website for more details or contact us directly at info@osmiowater.co.uk so we can recommend the best system to suit your needs.

Gravity filter is an inline filter, it is reducing wide contaminant range, but not reducing dissolved solids.
Distiller is reducing solids, and achieving 0 TDS water. In is relatively expensive way of purifying water.

Please email or call to discuss your requirements so we could make a recommendation.

Do you know how much this costs to run?…..or how long it takes to distill the full 4L so I can work out running costs myself please? Thank you
Question by: Tezni on 2 Jan 2023, 22:13
It will usually take around 5 - 6 hours to distil the full 4 litres.
Answer by: Sharon Little (Admin) on 3 Jan 2023, 11:23
How long does it take and how is itcleaned

Question by: Ann Edney on 13 Feb 2023, 10:49
It takes on average an hour to distill 1 liter of water. You would need to regularly descale the distiller if you are in the hard water area.
Answer by: Irina Orlenko (Admin) on 13 Feb 2023, 13:13
It can take up to 6 hours to distil the 4 litres of water and can be cleaned using a citric acid powder and water solution you can download the instruction manual using this link https://www.osmiowater.co.uk/mwdownloads/download/link/id/106
Answer by: Sharon Little (Admin) on 13 Feb 2023, 13:25
Is that distilled water ionised or not?
Question by: Katie on 10 May 2023, 12:53
Distilled water usually has 0 TDS - so there are no ions in it. The water will be de-ionised.
Answer by: Mark Kent (Admin) on 10 May 2023, 13:11
Does it remove microplastics? Thanks
Question by: Yari on 14 Jun 2023, 19:38
yes and all solids
Answer by: Mark Kent (Admin) on 15 Jun 2023, 09:20
Does it have temperature control?
Question by: Toby on 21 Jul 2023, 09:42
Yes, the standard temperature setting is 95c, but to distill water we recommend setting to 108c (maximum setting).
