Can you tell me what space is needed for a two filter set up for a normal household of two people. I see that there is a 'short' filter set up and a 'long' filter set up, but I haven't been able to find any dimensions.
Question by: Darran Flower on 2 Apr 2021, 19:17
This system requires measures as below.
Depth: 21 cm
Width: 39 cm
Height: 46 cm
You would require space equivalent to a standard 60cm single cupboard to install the system. XL - large version is recommended for household 3+ bathrooms. You can forward pictures of the space available for installation to info@osmiowater.co.uk and we can help with the assesment.

Q1: can the two filters be mounted one above the other (the space on the wall is only 34 cm wide, but very tall (2 meters)

Q2: it mentions adding a point of use reverse osmosis filter for best results drinking water - can this be an under the sink unit (I find it hard to work out what housings/filters are suitable from your website - I don't want a new tap, flash counter-top unit etc - just to have water coming from the cold water kitchen tap to be top quality)?
Question by: Adrian on 17 May 2021, 16:00
A1: Yes, you can mount filters one above another.
A2: To achieve top-quality drinking water you would require RO. The under sink system requires a separate tap or can be installed with a 3-way tap. The range of our 3-way taps can be found on the link below:

Are these filters able to remove microplastics from the water?
Question by: Dave on 6 Sep 2022, 11:02
Micron rating of this filter is 5 micron, and will create a physical barrier for microplastics larger than 5 micrones.
Reverse Osmosis filters have a micron rating 0.001 and this filter would create barrier for microplastic larger than 0.001 micron (that would be all known microplastics and nano plastics at this stage, but they are getting smaller). We would recommend to have a dedicated filter for drinking water.

Hi Osmio

My client (Sarah Hoskinson Collis) bought one of these double filter all house set ups, as directed by me as I have it also.

During the build, we misplaced the big O ring to one of the black cylinder buckets.

Are you able to supply me with another?

Regards
David

If you have misplaced the o-ring for the filter housing you can buy a replacement using this link

The spare O-ring requested is for the black buckets on the:

These measure around 5.5 inches, not 4.5 inches in diameter?
Question by: David on 15 Feb 2023, 10:59
We don't list the size of the O-ring on our product listing just the size of housing it is suitable for as it can be used on a number of different systems. I have updated the listing so this is clearer.

Hi, does it matter which filter is fitted in-line first? Which filter filters the water first?

Regards, Mark.

We recommend installing active ceramic as a first filter and carbon block as a second filter.

Hello,
We had the Osmio PRO-II-A Advanced Whole House Water Filter System fitted about 5 years ago and we are very pleased with it, but we do live in a hard water are and wish now we had consider a water softener system too. Is there anything we can add to our existing Osmio PRO-II-A Advanced Whole House Water Filter System that will help tackle water hardness?
Question by: Stace on 15 Apr 2023, 08:45
Yes you can install a hard water treatment solution at point of entry alongside your whole house water filter system to treat the hard water/limescale. We have two options a salt softener or a polyphosphate dosing system and can advise which one will be best for you based on your needs/water hardness. If you would like to send over your phone number we can give you a call or you can reach us by emailing info@osmiowater.co.uk or call us on 0330 113 7181 as we will need some additional information to make a recommendation for you.
