How much space is needed for installation?
Question by: Stuart Gwilym MacMillan on 7 Mar 2022, 19:59
There are 3 filter housings, each of 7.25" (184mm) diameter. The housings are 14" (356mm) in height but need at least another 2" (51mm) space to allow the filter bowls to drop down for filter changes.

Total footprint if installed with connecting nipples as shown on the product picture would be 655mm wide x 460mm height x 210mm depth, without allowance for connecting pipes/ hoses.

We recommend installing the MaxiSoft non-salt softener after the Pro III-Ultimate system, so that the Pro III system acts as prefiltration for the MaxiSoft..

. What are the dimensions ? Where does this filter system need to be placed for best effect and accesabiltiy?
Question by: Diane Wright on 18 May 2023, 10:54
Each Housing has the following dimensions - 24.40" x 7.36" (620 x 187mm), the whole house filters are usually installed after the stopcock before the water splits off so that all water is filtered at the property. You need to leave enough space below (a couple of inches) to enable the housing bowls to be dropped down for filter changes.

Hi I am wondering if this filter reduces any pressure in the water flow? Thank you :)
Question by: Petra on 19 May 2023, 09:48
There will be a standing pressure loss of 0.5bar at 2.2bar incoming pressure. We recommend a minimum of 2.5bar pressure for this system and if it is sized appropriately with respect to your peak flow demand (maximum 45 litres per minute for this system), you will not notice any drop in flow. Please contact us at info@osmiowater.co.uk, or on 0330 113 7181 if you would like us to advise regarding the requirements for your particular property.

How much fluoride does the filter remove?
Question by: Callum on 7 Jun 2023, 17:54
The fluoride reduction rate will vary in different properties depending on a number of factors including flow rate of water through the filters, water quality, temperature of the water and system maintenance. If you need a high level of mains water fluoride filtration for drinking water then you will get the best results with a reverse osmosis system or a gravity filter system. If you are on a private water supply or you need any help choosing the right filter system to meet your needs please get in touch.
