7 in 1 Salinity/PH/TDS/EC/ORP/S.G/TEMP Water Quality Meter Tester

This 7-in-1 multi parameter water quality tester can simultaneously measure Salinity, pH, TDS, Conductivity, ORP , S.G and Temperature (°C/°F) in one meter.

The meter  includes a hold function to store readings outside of the water with an easy to read large digital display and an auto-off function to conserve battery power

The meter is fabricated in strong, durable plastic.

Operation

Press power button, the first reading will be the automatic temperature reading in Centigrade, press and hold the HOLD/TEMP button to change to Fahrenheit.

Press MODE button to scroll through section of functions to select.

You can carry out a pH calibration before using the water quality meter with the included pH buffer powder using distilled water at the temperature of 25 degrees centigrade (77 Fahrenheit).

Store pH solutions for future reference and keep away from children.

TDS

TDS stands for total dissolved solids and is a general measure of water quality.  It is used as an indication of aesthetic characteristics of drinking water and as an aggregate indicator of the presence of a broad array of chemical ingredients. Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are the total amount of mobile charged ions, including minerals, salts or metals dissolved in a given volume of water, expressed in units of mg per unit volume of water (mg/L), also referred to as parts per million (ppm). TDS is directly related to the purity of water and the quality of water purification systems and affects everything that consumes, lives in, or uses water, whether organic or inorganic, whether for better or for worse.

The TDS-3 Water Tester is to monitor the effectiveness of the RO Membrane and ideal for commercial and domestic use.

Simply pour a glass of water, turn on the TDS meter and place it into the glass and the reading will appear. The TDS meter is ideal for keeping track of the effectiveness of your water filter and knowing when to replace the filters.

What Are Total Dissolved Solids?

"Dissolved solids" refer to any minerals, salts, metals, cations, or anions dissolved in water. This includes anything present in water other than the pure water (H20) molecule and suspended solids. (Suspended solids are any particles/substances that are neither dissolved nor settled in the water, such as wood pulp.)In general, the total dissolved solids concentration is the sum of the cations (positively charged) and anions (negatively charged) ions in the water. Parts per Million (ppm) is the weight-to-weight ratio of any ion to water.A TDS meter is based on the electrical conductivity (EC) of water. Pure H20 has virtually zero conductivity. Conductivity is usually about 100 times the total cations or anions expressed as equivalents. TDS is calculated by converting the EC by a factor of 0.5 to 1.0 times the EC, depending upon the levels. Typically, the higher the level of EC, the higher the conversion factor to determine the TDS.

NOTE - While a TDS meter is based on conductivity, TDS and conductivity are not the same things.

Is this meter suitable for testing sea water quality in swimming areas?
Question by: John Chadwick on 14 May 2023, 14:04
To an extent yes, but you have to remember the corrosive effect of the water and its impact on this measuring instrument, so important to clean them well before and after use.

How can i test tap water with this? I would want to find out the PH of the water. It doesn't say what is a good PH either that I can see on your questions or descriptions. I look forward to hearing from you.
Question by: Mark Powell on 18 Jun 2023, 15:35
You put the stick in the water to test

I have a hot tub and need a meter to measure pH, Alkalinity, Chlorine and TDS. Do you offer one?
Question by: Keith Golding on 12 Feb 2023, 10:07
No we don't have a meter that also measures chlorine
