Osmio PRO-II-A Advanced Whole House Water Filter System

The Osmio PRO-II-A Advanced Whole House Water Filter System is our one of our top of the range and finest whole house water filter system for those seeking nothing but the very best.

The first filter is the Active Ceramics Large Whole House Filter which uses an advanced formulation of active-ceramics which are highly effective at reducing a wide array of water impurities including chlorine, toxins, heavy metals, hormones and fluoride. This filter is also highly advanced and effective at killing and containing bacteria in water such as E-coli, Pseudomonas and other microorganisms. The filter uses a unique filtration method using a patented active ceramics blend, so it has 4 different active ceramics which treat the water in a different way and is completely unique. Not only that but the filter adds antioxidants and minerals back into the water after filtering and additionally makes water more alkaline by raising the pH value, usually increasing the pH to around 0.5 a point or more (however this could be more or less depending on a number of specific variables including the presence of certain dissolved solids and gases). This first filter is the main cartridge and is replaced every 3 years or 300,000 litres.

The second filter (which is an upgrade from the standard Osmio PRO-II System) is a 5 micron carbon block. This filter further reduces chlorine and any taste and odour issues that may be present in the mains tap water. The carbon block also reduces certain Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOC) from drinking water. The coconut base of the carbon also makes a slightly sweeter taste which is pleasant. The carbon block has a very high dirt holding capacity with virtually zero pressure drop. The filter is rated for 46,000 litres so is usually changed every 6 months.

The Eco-Advantage

At the end of the life of the main cartridge, you can take out the ceramics and use it to fertilize your garden to improve the health of plants or grass and soil drainage. The plastic housing can be put through your normal recycling waste. Active Ceramic and Post Carbon Filter are both NSF certified STD 42.

High Quality & Best Rated Whole House Water Filter System which delivers results

  • Active Ceramic & Carbon Filtration reduce a wide range of impurities to make healthier water for your home
  • High Quality Virgin Polypropylene, thick, heavy weight and robust. Avoid light, thinner and mixed with calcite housings as these do not stand the test of time.
  • Brass threaded 1" BSP Female Ports make reliable plumbing connections, unlike plastic threaded ports which easily crossthread when connected to brass male fittings.
  • Integrated Pressure Release Buttons to release air pressure.

Are these filters able to remove microplastics from the water?
Question by: Dave on 6 Sep 2022, 11:02
Micron rating of this filter is 5 micron, and will create a physical barrier for microplastics larger than 5 micrones.
Reverse Osmosis filters have a micron rating 0.001 and this filter would create barrier for microplastic larger than 0.001 micron (that would be all known microplastics and nano plastics at this stage, but they are getting smaller). We would recommend to have a dedicated filter for drinking water.

Hi Osmio

My client (Sarah Hoskinson Collis) bought one of these double filter all house set ups, as directed by me as I have it also.

During the build, we misplaced the big O ring to one of the black cylinder buckets.

Are you able to supply me with another?

Regards
David

If you have misplaced the o-ring for the filter housing you can buy a replacement using this link
https://www.osmiowater.co.uk/o-ring-for-4-5-x-10-inch-1.html
Answer by: Sharon Little (Admin) on 15 Feb 2023, 08:39
The spare O-ring requested is for the black buckets on the:
Osmio PRO-II-A Advanced Whole House Water Filter System
These measure around 5.5 inches, not 4.5 inches in diameter?
Question by: David on 15 Feb 2023, 10:59
We don't list the size of the O-ring on our product listing just the size of housing it is suitable for as it can be used on a number of different systems. I have updated the listing so this is clearer.

Q1: can the two filters be mounted one above the other (the space on the wall is only 34 cm wide, but very tall (2 meters)

Q2: it mentions adding a point of use reverse osmosis filter for best results drinking water - can this be an under the sink unit (I find it hard to work out what housings/filters are suitable from your website - I don't want a new tap, flash counter-top unit etc - just to have water coming from the cold water kitchen tap to be top quality)?
Question by: Adrian on 17 May 2021, 16:00
A1: Yes, you can mount filters one above another.
A2: To achieve top-quality drinking water you would require RO. The under sink system requires a separate tap or can be installed with a 3-way tap. The range of our 3-way taps can be found on the link below:

Can you tell me what space is needed for a two filter set up for a normal household of two people. I see that there is a 'short' filter set up and a 'long' filter set up, but I haven't been able to find any dimensions.
Question by: Darran Flower on 2 Apr 2021, 19:17
This system requires measures as below.
Depth: 21 cm
Width: 39 cm
Height: 46 cm
You would require space equivalent to a standard 60cm single cupboard to install the system. XL - large version is recommended for household 3+ bathrooms. You can forward pictures of the space available for installation to info@osmiowater.co.uk and we can help with the assesment.
